Prayers

Prayers are powerful attacks that can be cast by the Penitent One using his Fervour. Their effects are very diverse, and use a varying amount of Fervour in accordance with their strength. At release, 13 prayers were available. The two first DLCs added one each and the Wounds of Eventide DLC added two, making a total of 17 prayers. Most can be found and picked up as collectibles in the world. Some can only be unlocked by completing quests, such as finding every Child of Moonlight, or completing Miriam's Challenges. The achievement Firm Devotion is awarded once the 13 original prayers have been collected.

Equip a prayer in the inventory and then press CAST to invoke it. Prayers and some combat techniques use up Fervour. Attack and execute enemies to fill up the Fervour bar.
