Choir of Thorns is an early game area in Blasphemous 2 first accessible from Grilles and Ruin. It serves most notably as a pathway to the Crown of Towers area, which holds one of the “three regret” bosses necessary for progression in the game.
The area is set in a dark forest filled with various spectral enemies and spiked thorns that pose an environmental threat to The Penitent One. It also contains the character Cristo Mieles, a man filled with honey who will give The Penitent One the altarpiece The Maiden. After breaking the altarpiece from use, he is able to repair it. Doing this three times will transform it into the altarpiece The Unwavering One. The Procession of Shadows also has two locations in this area, one in the center-left portion of the area and another at the map's highest point (to the left of the Gate of Travel). This mysterious character will transport The Penitent One to previously unreachable locations in exchange for a Forgotten Tribute. The area also notably contains shortcuts to the Crown of Towers, Palace of the Embroideries and Two Moons areas.
The area contains two Holy Brothers of the Golden Visage, two Cobijada Sisters, a Sarmiento & Centella upgrade statue and no boss.
