The Dirt Diver is a savage and aggressive creature originated from a whim of the Miracle: their head is a bare fanged skull attached to a humanoid feminine torso, but instead of legs it has a long wormlike tail that resembles a cross between a plant root and an exposed muscle. They hide underground and jump up from below, surprising the Penitent One that could not outrun them.
Behaviour and Tactics[]
- Dirt Dive: The enemy jumps up from the ground and deals contact damage.
The enemy's attack is preceded by the sound of rustling in the dirt and its location can be pinpointed by seeing which small sections of dirt or snow are moving. When it jumps up from the ground, it will scream and then dive back into the ground again.
The simplest way to deal with this enemy is to dodge away from the moving bits of dirt or snow that give away its location. When it jumps up out of the ground, attack them while they are in the air.
