Blasphemous Wiki

Knot of the Three Words is located within the Mother of Mothers, and is where the First Miracle took place, according to Deogracias. A large tree covered in gold sap sits in the middle of the room, and Deogracias can be found looking up at the tree once the Penitent One gains access to this area after defeating Esdras.

As Deogracias tells the Penitent One, The First Miracle occurred when a young boy asked the High Wills for punishment and pain to satiate his guilt. He sat on a log and prayed, then over time the log and the boy grew roots around and through his body. Years later, a tree with three twisted trunks grew in the his place. The name Knot of the Three Words refers to the three twisted trunks of the tree and to the boy's last three words, "My great guilt." Every year, burning gold liquid flows from the tree.

The tree also makes an appearance in Blasphemous 2, although it is now reduced to a withered husk presumably due to High Wills' death at the hands of Penitent One and Crisanta of the Wrapped Agony.
