Profundo Lamento is an early game area in Blasphemous 2 first entered from The City of the Blessed Name. It notably contains the Relic of Contrition Ivy of Ascension (found in the southeastern part of the area), which gives The Penitent One the ability to climb certain walls throughout the game.
The Lullaby Mother can be found in this area, who after giving the Lullaby of the White Shore will allow The Penitent One to enter The Dream. Returning successfully will reward him with the chant prayer Tiento to your Thorned Hairs. Also present is Yerma, who will give The Penitent One the Steely Battle Lance, allowing him to upgrade the power of his weapons using Marks of Martyrdom. The Procession of Shadows will also be present in this area after giving them a Forgotten Tribute at their first location in Choir of Thorns.
The area also contains 1 Child of the Golden Visage in the room to the right of the left-most Prie Dieu.
This area contains no boss.
