Ruego Al Alba

Ruego Al Alba is a sword with a solid balance thanks to its medium range and medium damage. It's one of the three main weapons from Blasphemous 2 at the disposal of the Penitent One.

It can be chosen as the starting weapon at the beginning of the game, but if not, it will be found more ahead on the Crown of Towers.

Ruego Al Alba Statue Upgrade[]

The power of Ruego Al Alba can be increased by encountering its corresponding Statue Upgrade, which will unlock the next level and branch of its abilities. There are 3 levels in total, and Marks of Martyrdom are needed in order to unlock every skill.

Statue Locations[]

On Beneath Her Sacred Grounds. It equieres the Passage of Ash ability (double jump) obtained on the Beneath Her Sacred Grounds after defeating the boss.
On Crown of Towers, behind two time-limit door puzzles. This requieres the Passage of Ash and also Mercy of the Wind (air dash), which can be found on Crown of Towers as well.

Charge the gauge by dealing damage with Ruego Al Alba. 1	Covenant of Atonement Hits during Blood Pact regenerate the Penitent One's health. Weight of Sin Press (Down) + (Attack) in the air to perform a downward attack. Use it from a great height to unleash a more powerful version, capable of breaking through certain barriers. Default Memory	Reaper Rosary Press (Special) during Blood Pact to launch a devastating slash at superhuman speed. Partially consumes the Blood Pact gauge. Needs Blood Pact unlocked. 1	Blessed Steel Increases the base damage of Ruego Al Alba. Needs Reaper Rosary unlocked. 2	Reaper Prayer Halves the cost of Reaper Rosary. Needs Blessed Steel unlocked. 3
	Mystic Striker Increases Mystical damage inflicted. Needs Reaper Rosary unlocked. 1	Weight of Justice Creates a wave of increased Mystical damage when performing Weight of Sin from a great height. Needs Crimson Cleaver unlocked. 2
	Crimson Warmonger Press (Up) + (Attack) to perform a Crimson Ascension. Press (Down) + (Attack) to perform a Crimson Cyclone. 2	Crimson Cleaver Press (Attack) + (Attack) + (Attack) + (Attack). Adds a powerful downward slash with enhanced Stun damage at the end of the combo. Needs Crimson Warmonger unlocked. 3	Crimson Glaive Upgrades the power of the Crimson Slash with a ground level shockwave. Needs Crimson Cleaver unlocked. 3

Most balanced of all weapons in speed, range and damage.
Very similar to Mea Culpa, making it easy to use for most players.
Allows Parrying.
Grants access to Mystical Damage.
Allows user to regenerate lost HP through Blood Pact by inflicting damage.
Has a versatile movepool of combos.

Weaknesses[]

Requires charging up Blood Pact gauge to its fullest before being able to be used.
Blood Pact gauge decreases over time, even when not in use.
Blood Pact duration is short without the proper Figure resonance combo.
Blood Pact requires HP to use, rendering it unusable at low HP.
