Sor Cautiva Del Silenco is a boss from Blasphemous 2's first DLC: Mea Culpa, located in the Icebound Mausoleum, and guards the path to the ceramic door and the tomb of Hilaria.

Behaviour and Tactics[]

  • Sacred Orbs - The sister will raise one of her hands and show the palm, revealing a red gem in the middle. Shortly after, a barrage of mystical orbs will spawn in a revolving cross pattern out of the gem. During phase 2, this attack speeds up, causing more orbs to spawn and revealing a more obvious cross pattern.
  • Ground Slam - The sister will raise one of her hands in a fist. She will attempt to aim for the Penitent One, hovering the fist over him. After a couple seconds, she will slam it down, causing mystical eruptions to come from both sides of the fist. During phase 2, the amount of slams will increase from 1 to 3 in quick succession.
  • Beam of the Silence - Sor Cautiva will raise one of her hands in the same manner she does during Sacred orbs. A small beam of mystic damage will come from her hand and start from the same side of the arena as the hand is on, moving across the entire ground until it reaches the other side of the arena.
  • Explosive Silence - Sor Cautiva will raise both of her hands into a praying gesture. The necklace she wears will begin to gather energy around it, before forming an orb and then exploding inside a large radius. During phase 1, this attack will summon two regular Sacred Skulls, one on each side of the arena. When the fight progress to phase 2, these skulls are replaced by Crawlers spawned by the sisters on either side of Sor Cautiva.
  • Revolving Pillars of the Silence - This attack starts similar to Explosive Silence with the sister putting her hands in a praying gesture, except this time there is no indicator that it will start and instead will start instantly. Two mystical pillars will come from the necklace, one going up while one goes toward the ground. They will then start spinning in either direction, causing the entire arena to not be safe. After this attack is over, it is typically followed by Explosive Silence. During phase 2, the amount of revolutions it can do in one direction is increased to two, and is able to change direction after the second revolution in one direction.

Strategy[]

While not a particularly challenging fight, the player could potentially be overwhelmed by the amount of attacks that could have happen at once. It is important to focus on the necklace and breaking it as it is the bosses weak point. During attacks where she raises her hands in prayer, the necklace is near invincible, although can still be attacked and damaged, even interrupting her attacks when it it destroyed during one of these attacks. Her hands can also be damaged, although they take significantly less damage than the skull in her necklace. As most of Sor Cautivas attacks are avoided by moving around the arena, it is important to use your movement abilities during the entire fight, but also sparingly as not to get caught by attacks.
