Veredicto

Veredicto is a slow flail, of large range and strong damage modeled after a censer, and one of the three main weapons from Blasphemous 2 at the disposal of the Penitent One.

It can be chosen as the starting weapon at the beginning of the game, but if not, it will be found more ahead on Sacred Entombments.

Veredicto Statue Upgrade[]

The power of Veredicto can be increased by encountering its corresponding Statue Upgrade, which will unlock the next level and branch of its abilities. There are 3 levels in total, and Marks of Martyrdom are needed in order to unlock every skill.

Statue Locations[]

On Elevated Temples, behind a closed door that can be opened through a bell-platforming puzzle.
On Sunken Cathedral, behind a bell-door that can be opened by hitting a nearby bell.

	Tempered Flames Press (Special) to turn off Veredicto, interrupting the consumption of Fervour. This display of temperance can even be performed in the air. 1	Sanctified Embers Reduces the Fervour consumed by Veredicto when Activated, and increases its elemental damage. Needs Tempered Flames unlocked. 2	Explosive Embers Causes damage to an area by activating Veredicto on the ground. Needs Sanctified Embers unlocked. 3
	Determination Increases base defence. Needs Tempered Flames unlocked. 1
Thunder of Mercy Hold down (Attack) to charge a powerful strike that damages nearby enemies. Default Memory	Ignition Strike Press (Special) after an attack on the ground to convert it into a powerful horizontal strike that Turns Veredicto on or off. 1	Immaculate Harvest Increases Fervour gain when attacking enemies with Veredicto. Needs Ignition Strike unlocked. 1	Endless Flame Press (Special) after an Ignition Strike to chain it into another attack. Needs Blessed Bronze unlocked. 3
Embers of Faith (Special) Activates Veredicto, adding fire damage to attacks in exchange for Fervour. Once activated, it will not extinguish until the Fervour is fully consumed. Default Memory	Aerial Ignition Press (Special) in the air to Activate Veredicto with a quick air strike. Can be used to cancel air strikes. 2	Blessed Bronze Increases Veredicto's base damage. Needs Aerial Ignition unlocked. 2
	Fiery Striker Increases Fire damage inflicted. Needs Aerial Ignition unlocked. 1	And the Earth Shattered Thunder of Mercy creates shockwaves on the ground on impact. Needs Azure Typhoon unlocked. 3	Soul Combustion Improves charged attacks when used with Veredicto activated. Needs Sacred Bronze unlocked. 3
	Crucible of Faith Halves the time required to charge Veredicto. 1	Azure Typhoon You can hold a charged Veredicto in the air. Release (Attack) in the air to perform the Azure Typhoon, a powerful aerial attack that hits both sides. Needs Crucible of Faith unlocked. 2	Sacred Bronze Increases Veredicto's base damage. Needs Azure Typhoon unlocked. 3
			Venomous Striker Increases Miasma damage inflicted. Needs Sacred Bronze unlocked. 1

Strengths[]

Has the highest damage of all weapons.
Has the furthest range of all weapons.
Can utilize fervor for an increase of damage.
Can be used as an easy access for Fire or Miasma damage.
Can charge attack button for large damage attacks.
Has great stopping power, and can knock back lesser foes.

Weaknesses[]

It's the slowest of all weapons.
Parrying is not possible while using Veredicto.
Requires extensive use for Fervor to maximize its damage.
It's use of Fervor competes with Prayers, requiring players to often opt for one or the other.
Requires specific Figure resonance to access Miasma damage.
